Brotherhood of the world award (I answer deep questions about my blogging life.)

Right now I’m on episode sixty-nine of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and I can’t stop watching them even though I have stuff to do. (This is bad. And it also proves that I should not get Netflix.) So basically, I’m bribing myself by telling me that I’m allowed to continue watching them after finishing this post.

I’ve heard references to the diaries more than once, but I never knew what they were. Last week, I finally decided to find out and discovered that they’re videos on Youtube. To be exact, they’re very addicting videos about Lizzie Bennet’s life, which has uncanny similarities to Elizabeth Bennet’s life in Pride and Prejudice. They even share the same name.

Anyways, onto the questions.

  1. Briefly explain your blogging style (where your favorite blogging spot/tools – as in, on the couch using your smartphone or something).

People write posts on their phones?? How is that possible? I would make so many typos. But, I have realized that I can test pretty well without even looking at my phone. Which both amazes and makes me super nervous that I’m becoming obsessed with my phone. I never ever want to be that person who seems super attached to an electronic device. Oh my goodness. Am I becoming that person? Oh no. I need to stop using my phone so much. This is really bad.

Wait, I didn’t even answer the question. At all. Oops, my bad. I write posts on my computer at my desk. Fascinating, I know.

  2. How do you manage your blogging time including blog reading time?

Blogging: I don’t? Well, I try to write Tuesday’s post on Monday afternoon, but when it comes to Saturday’s, I realize that I don’t have rough draft prepared so I sit down for an hour and type. Also, I almost never have any idea as for what I’m going to blog about. But somehow, it manages to come together. Just like Lizzie’s videos.

Blog reading: I used to do that on the way to school in the mornings, but then we set goals at school. Mine was to use my phone less (which is important to me as you’ve seen above). Specifically, I wasn’t going to use my phone before school. AKA 8:00 a.m. Because of that, now I do it all on the way home from school.

  3. Who is your most read author?

Obviously Rick Riordan. Let’s see here. I’ve read all the books in the Percy Jackson series, all the books in the Heroes of Olympus series, all the books in the Kane Chronicles, the first Magnus Chase book, the first Trials of Apollos book, AND I’ve read at least one of the books he wrote for The 39 Clues. That’s at least SIXTEEN books. Question: are the Kane Chronicles complete? Google says yes. Then why do I have the feeling that The Serpent’s Shadow finished on a cliff-hanger? Weird.

OH MY GOODNESS. Rick Riordan’s middle name is Russel. That means his full name is Rick Russel Riordan. HA, that is hilarious. Just look at the alliteration!

  4. How did you come up with your blog name?

No, I did not misspell “zoologist.”

The name was inspired by the AWESOME speaker at my summer camp (seriously, best speaker ever), and it has to do with my faith. In Greek, “zoe” means “of the absolute fullness of life, life real and genuine, devoted to God. Therefore, “Zoelogist” means “a student of the eternal life God gives.” So yea, that’s what it means. Wow, who knew an award post would go so serious? Which reminds me, I really need to add this to my about page.

  5. What keeps you blogging?

They’re all selfish and ambitious reasons: To work to be as cool as the blogs I love. To meet (more) awesome people. To have fun. To get comments.

P.S.

As soon as I press publish, I’m going to go watch some more Lizze Bennet videos. They’re hilarious and too short for my liking and so good. I would tell you to go watch them, but there is one hundred videos and I don’t want you to be sitting there clicking video after video. I don’t want you to have to enjoyably suffer along with me. BYE.

  1. I’ve heard of the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, but I’ve never really taken the time out to watch them. Wow, with 100 videos, it’s not wonder! 😮 I’m glad you’re enjoying them!

  2. I really like the story behind your blog name! It is really cool.
I have read The Lightning Thief…approximately seven times? That book is hysterical. I just don’t get tired of it for some reason. I didn’t like the other books in the series as much though. I read The Heroes of Olympus too, but I was really disappointed by the climax. Leo was my favorite character.

    1. Thank you!!
Haha, I think I’ve read it quite a few times too. Sometimes when I don’t have any books from the library and I NEED to read something, I just pick up my copy that I’m pretty sure I borrowed from a teacher’s bookshelf and never gave up. The book never fails to crack me up. Um, what was the climax of The Heroes of Olympus again? I honestly don’t remember, but I know I loved the first three books better than the last two. ME TOO. I love Leo!
